Mom's trip to Target alone= mini vacay

Today I got to go to Target....wait for it...BY MYSELF! Yes, all alone! First I stopped off at Starbucks where i got an iced skinny latte and a slice of pumpkin bread.  I then got to spend 2.5 hours christmas shopping for our three little elves.  It was so nice to finally get to enjoy all Target has to offer again without A) Placing a plug in one of the twins mouths (or both twins mouths)
B) Get stopped by all the well meaning but time consuming remarks such as "Awwww twins!?", "Wow! You've really got your hands full!", "Well bless you! A boy and a girl? Aren't you just the luckiest?!", or my personal favorite "Do you have a license to drive that stroller?"
C) Listen to Megan not ask for something but covertly mention that maybe she might need something for a very important reason
D) Rush in and out so I don't miss the twins nap time or meal time (or stay long enough to have to fanagle my way into the bathroom to change two diapers)

I had so much fun picking out the toys that Chris and I agreed on for the twins and Megan, although I missed having him there.  I just loveeeee the B. brand toys that Target sells! Eden and Remy already have a couple and I loved choosing some new toys.  Their big gifts this year will be two kinds of walkers (the Radio Flyer wooden walker) and the B. Brand Walkness Monster Walker. Since we don't know which one the twins will prefer (and the Radio Flyer one is pricey) we decided to get both and let them decide. Remy is nowhere near walking yet but Eden is right around the corner!

Megan is getting some gorgeous bedding and decorations for her room at our new house, Lego Friends, accessories, Hello Kitty mouse, hat, and diary, some new books, and some new mixes for her Easy Bake Oven.  We've been avoiding most toys this year and explained months ago that Santa will be bringing her about a third of the toys she received last year since she has a new brother and sister so share the household loot with.  She is being an excellent sport about it and I think she will have much more fun this year helping the babies open their presents and keeping them from eating all of the wrapping paper!

More later, mommy is tired and needs a shower, some wine, and pumpkin bread.
